About the Business
I loved Art as a subject at school. But after I left school I found myself in a number of jobs, all of them completely unconnected with art and creativity. One day I took part in a course for young parents. The course basically asked young parents to think about their future, and their goals and aspirations. After the course I attended South Devon College and received a National Diploma in Graphic Design. Afterwards, at Plymouth University, I achieved a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design.
What followed is classic 'frustrated entrepreneur' stuff. I worked at various companies in roles that covered design and advertising and even publishing, before being made redundant from Fermoys Garden Centre. Freelancing with Fermoys was fun, but I started to realise that I actually had enough commercial experience and drive to open my own business.
